That's not all. Massachusetts' EBT dollars were spent in virtually every state in the U.S., including 165 cities and towns in California and in 293 locations in Florida, the report said.

I wonder if this happens because they MASS people are selling their EBT on the black market for 50 cents on the dollar so they can buy liquor/drugs with them. Then those EBTs work their way through the country.

Just as fricked, but one possibility.

You cannot get cooked/prepared food with EBT unless they make an exception. Most of the time there is no exception to that rule.

It is part of the Farm Bill. Why? Because it is all a giant subsidy to the food and supermarket industries, to keep them in business and keep the entire chain of things profitable.

I know this. It's already been discussed in this thread.

They don't use them. Spitting out crib midgets for the working class to fund is way more lucrative than getting a job and providing for your family.

no chips, ice cream, baked goods with sugar, soda, tobacco products and vapes, energy drinks, alcohol.

basic goods used for sustenance should be marked in stores that accept ebt cards and only those items should be allowed for purchase with them. water, milk, bread, veggies, eggs and meat.

While you are correct that is the rule, it is not enforced in practice and you can buy cooked/prepared foods at many convenience stores and bodegas around the country.

Food stamps should only be allowed to be used for bread, eggs, milk, canned fruit/vegetables, and store brand ground beef.

Wasn't allowed in Louisiana.

Not everyone on food stamps is on welfare. I have known people who had emergency help.

Change my mind.
Preaching to the choir man. It should be based on the food pyramid. Quite a few posters on the first couple pages failed to mention parts of it on their lists.

I'm not going to waste through 10 pages to see if it's been mentioned... I think it should start on limiting canned meals (thinking CHUNKY soup, Chef Boyardee, etc.) (Basic soups bring the obvious exception.) If you need food stamps, I don't think it's too much to ask that your cook your own food with that time you would be at a job/2nd job. Food banks should be where you get most of your canned meals.

I don't have an issue with water (for the reasons mentioned) or a LIMITED amount of soda/drinks. Perhaps with everything computerized there could be a separate allowance for generic drinks.

Over a dozen expenditures were also recorded in the Virgin Islands and in Alaska this year, which included a $395 charge in Anchorage. Republican state Sen. Ryan Fattman called the report's findings, "insanity and government at its worst." "This makes no sense. It’s insanity and government at its worst," he told The Herald. "What the hell is someone doing in Hawaii? We need this money to help feed families," he said. "This tells me there’s a major problem with this system."

This shot right here is why grandma in a Volvo gets the side eye at Wal Mart, whether she deserves it or not. I’ve never been to Hawaii. Or Alaska, or the Virgin Islands. I can’t afford it. But EBT members can? Obviously these vacationers weren’t starving. Fkn cheaters ruin it for the truly needy.

NO junk food. No softdrinks and no stuff like gatoraide.

I really don't care about botteled water. Municipal water is often garbage.
