What’s wrong with well water?

Should we make national policy based on an ultra small percentage of the population?

Bro, I’m a bit of an a-hole and I definitely preach responsibility but you have to let people live a little bit. You cannot have all the haves and restrict people to has not status and dictate their purchases.
We have to live and let live sometimes.

Do you understand that food stamps are meant to be supplemental? They can buy junk food with their own money. The government should be providing necessities (if anything).
The idea that if the government doesn’t provide it, they won’t get it - is a bit fricking crazy.

Just about everything except water, juice, dairy, eggs, rice, pasta noodles, veggies, fresh fruit, pork, chicken, ground beef, healthy cereal, oatmeal, grits, bacon, and basic toiletries. Store brands.
No soda, candy, junk food, TV dinners and frozen meals, steaks, seafood (except maybe budget friendly options like catfish or tilapia), name brands

Not reading 10 pages to see if it’s been mentioned, but one of my big issues is single serve (ie 16-20) oz Cokes, Red Bulls or other similar items.
6-packs and 12-packs are one thing. But spending $1.79 - $3.00 a single drink is absurd.

So the poor don’t deserve anything that tastes good or water? Correct?
Beggers cant be choosers.
Water and basic nutritious food is fine.
Watching a family of 300lb whales load up 2 buggies full of chips, sodas, candy bars, crab legs, shrimp, steaks, plate lunches, etc. that for the years I worked at a grocery store tends to shed light on the actual situation.
If they dont like how free food tastes then they can get a job and work for what they want.
That's the problem in this country. Too many handouts kills people's motivation to do better for themselves.

Junk food
"Food stamps" are actually a subsidy for farmers. They want people to eat tons of junk food and consume high fructose corn syrup.
A lot of people fail to realize that food stamps is for the agriculture industry and is part of agriculture bills. It's not to help people. They're actually doing more harm than good but all of those farm states have two senators just like the higher populated states and this is how they swing their d*cks around.

Food stamps should only cover beef, poultry, eggs, water, milk, beans, and rice.
Those should only be obtained by getting a voucher and going to a distribution center

I saw a woman buying an entire buggy full of bottled water today with ebt.
I don’t think ANY liquids beyond baby formula should be allowed. Drink water from the tap.
People drinking bottled water is a relatively new phenomenon anyway.
I was an adult before I ever purchased a bottle of water.
You assumed she has running water.
You assumed she has a house or apartment and isn't living in a car or tent.
If she has a place to live, you're assuming the pipes aren't so full of crud that sludge comes out instead of water.
Restrictions on what EBT cards can by are political show that gets quietly overturned... WHY?
"Food stamps" are not about feeding the poor, really (this is America, we don't don't a shite about that...).
It is part of the Farm Bill. Why? Because it is all a giant subsidy to the food and supermarket industries, to keep them in business and keep the entire chain of things profitable.
When somebody makes a big show of banning potato chips or soft drinks, the potato chip and soft drink Lobby goes to everybody like "hey... screw us, we get behind someone else next election," so attached to something you don't notice is something undoing the restriction.
