I have an LL Bean and Carharrt that are both warm, confortable and look as good as the day I bought them. Prob 5-6 yrs old

About the only time I wear a winter jacket is if I'm on my motorcycle, and then it's a good leather jacket.
Most of the time with the mild N.O. winters I just wear a t-shirt with a long sleeve button down or a sweatshirt over it when out.
