Quote “ Anyone that has lived or hunted Kisatchie south of Alexandria near Woodworth has heard this sound from miles away as the A-10's from Barksdale and the old England AFB train at the bombing range in Kisatchie. ”
I bow hunted in Kisatchie near the approach to the range and was treated to this, sounded like they had thunder in a machine gun, much louder than what comes across in the videos. Must have been directly under their approach and not too far from the range border where they opened up, cuz it was loud as f

"The SR-71"
I worked on the last one to fly before it was initially put into retirement. They pulled it and another back out in the mid 90's I believe (for Kosovo possibly?) for a short while.
Last I heard it is at an aviation museum in Oregon somewhere....mostly retired.
I always figured the Blackbird was retired because it's rumored successor (Aurora) had come online for that very reason.
Re-tasking satellites sometimes takes time while a RECCE bird can get eyes on in hours, depending on where the eyes are needed.

We should have kept some to gather intelligence that is sometimes unavailable to satellites due to timing or weather.

Brrrrrrt is the only acceptable answer.
The only thing that makes me sad about this post is there's no accompanying audio and I have to make the Brrrrrrt noise myself.

F16
Can’t believe no one answered the F16. It’s fuselage to wing sweep is unusual and really good looking.

What’s nuts is we went from the Wright Brothers first flight to the SR-71 in only half a century.

It also has the distinction of having the best paint scheme ever.

block50 and up viper are unmatched air to air. a few buddies fly em and say that there's nothing that'll turn with it in a fight. if you can take the G's, it'll give em as long as it's got gas.
