Would like to talk to you about the Whaler. I have a 1972 Ribside 21’ Outrage and I plan on making it a project as well.

I’m surprised at all the Phantom love in here. It’s a cool looking plane for sure but I wouldn’t think it’d be so many people’s favorites.

Can't believe so many people picked the A10 as their favorite, if I'm gonna have a favorite jet, it's gonna be fast! the OP did give the correct answer

The US' air superiority fighter jet during the cold war, the F-15 Eagle!

Halon. This is my second stint in the 96th, with a stop at UPT in between.

Guess I'm just that old to have missed you. Guess you missed the 96 BS deployment to the 'Deid in 2016-17. I was the Deputy OG out there at that time.

I know your old boss, Country, who also flew in that formation very well. Also know your current boss Guv'na very well. My callsign is Boudreaux (not the Reservist who goes by that name as well).

I'm on the AFGSC staff in the A3X Division but was the B-52 PEM and Requirements Chief from Aug 14 to Jul 16. I got your radar modernization, re-engine, Link-16, GPS-IU replacement, AEHF integration, MRT Replacement, and Targeting Pod MFCD replacement programs started. I also got you guys the ATIDS mission recording/debriefing systems. Plus, I was the first to introduce the idea of upgrading the ALQ-172 to cover the frequency spectrum of your antiquated manual jammers, giving you more defensive capabilities and allowing the reduction to a 4-person crew. That is finally being funded in the current FY22 budget proposal.

Speaking of all that and I am not up on it, but there had been some talk of a new engine for the B52. I noted you mentioning re engine and was wondering has this come to pass.

I had read some articles awhile back on proposals for more modern and efficient engines and was just curious

I just missed that damn deployment. I got tired after 4 years at Barksdale flying around the flag pole so I volunteered for white jets. 2 weeks after I arrived at Laughlin one of my buddies called me to fill me in on what was happening. Such is my luck, I’m glad all those guys got in the fight.
Country was on my jet, as you know. Even though they had some Louisiana boys on the jet, they didn’t have any LSU grads so I had to fix it. I’m an ‘08 guy. I’m guessing you are probably a patch? I’ll ask around tomorrow and figure it out.

You know how I can tell when someone has never worked F-4's before

If Russia could have cut off our supply of hydraulic fluid the skies would have been theirs for the taking in the 60's/early 70's

It is a fully funded program. Test begins in 2025 with expected Initial Operational Capability (IOC) in 2038.

I commissioned from LSU AFROTC Det 310 in Dec 99. I graduated WIC in 06B. I was 340 WPS/DO from Apr 13 to Aug 14 before going to be the B-52 PEM. Gov’na knows me well, just ask him.
