I don't know if I have just one single dream home. I want a lot of different things at different times of the year and in different places.
Some cities are absolutely amazing in the summer time (Chicago), but are absolutely terrible in winter.
In the summer, it'd be incredible to have a nice little cottage on the beach in a place that's not too crowded, but not isolated either, especially if it's in walking distance to where I could have a nice seaworthy sail boat and some jet-skis securely docked.
Spring time in New Orleans is amazing with all of the festivals and good weather. Having a gorgeous old town home along the St. Charles or Canal Streetcar lines would be clutch, so I can hop on the streetcar to French Quarter Fest and enjoy Hogs for the Cause, Bayou Boogaloo, and Jazz Fest as well.
For the fall, I'd want some kind of hunting/fishing camp on the water out on the Amite or around Pierre Part or somewhere similar, preferably one not too far from Baton Rouge to get into and out of town on game days.
In the winter, while a ski lodge in the mountains would be beautiful, I'd probably rather spend my time in a warm city, probably some place like San Diego. That way, I could spend more time on the beach and just vacation to the mountains over a couple long weekends.

One near a good fishing spot thats paid for.

Paid off, small enough to clean/maintain on my own, close to loved ones, and in a decent area.
If there happens to be a lazy river and a snowball stand on the property, I wouldn't complain.

Streetcar is for French Quarter Fest. There's no shortage of parking for hogs out at UNO.
