Bug zapper. Vacuum cleaner. Aluminum foil. Mop. Christmas decorations. Trash bags.
When I type this out I’m realizing none of these things are found in nature.
Anything that isn’t supposed to be there-
Something spilled in kids lunchbox- rinse it out and leave it zipper-down on kitchen faucet so it dries?
Immediate threat (when noticed). Hair on back standing up. Barking and growling until taken down.

What is your dog afraid of?
When I break out a new trash bag to replace the old one, she freaks the hell out when I shake it out from being compressed to fit the trash can

We keep our daughter’s dog about 10 days a month. Black lab is scared of noises on a daily basis. Ice maker, vacuum, stuff like that. About every 3 days he is afraid to leave the kitchen tile and walk on the wood floor. He stands there and whines and yelps. I have had to put the leash on him and walk him into the living room.

Peanut butter, every time I get it out he hides under the bed.

Chainsaws and the sound of a tree hitting the earth.
Same. I think it’s the cracking of the wood as the tree falls that’s the main culprit, but even handling a non running chainsaw sends the dog into a tizzy.

Most of our labs haven't liked thunder. Other noises haven't been a problem. I think they sense the static electricity or something.
Can confirm my black lab is scared to death of thunder. When she hears it, she starts shaking to the point where she can’t walk, and her teeth start chattering. She won’t leave me or my wife’s side during a thunderstorm.
She’s not scared of anything else though. Fireworks don’t bother her. Every other noise she will sleep right through.

My little guy is a Rat terrier and Chihuahua mix. Great dog.. very good temperament.. The only thing he is terrified of is other dogs. I tried socializing him but it was torture for him. Funny thing is when I picked him up at the pound he was running around with a big lab. But he was in a kennel by himself when I first saw him..

My large dog doesn't like thunder or fireworks. My medium dog doesn't like new things that aren't moving. She once wouldn't go into the grass to use the bathroom because my neighbor's kids Spung Bob Square pants ball was sitting in my yard. See sat on the driveway and low growled at it.

Fireworks. Vacuum cleaner. Sometimes thunder, oddly enough when he's inside but outside doesn't seem to affect him quite the same.

I make it a point NOT to throw my uncooked ribs in a pile of leaves and sticks before I smoke them.

Vacuums and anything that looks like you’re going to zap her with it. We’ve never put a shock collar or anything like that on her, but she can be playing with one of her toys, I can grab it and tug on it with her and she loves it. But if I point it at her like a remote control, she hides. Not sure where that comes from.
