Our Aussie did not like fireworks, thunder, and other loud noises. She was pretty fearless, otherwise.

Our labs hunt hogs. They would attack a lion in an instant if one presented itself. They are scared shitless of my bride's dachshund though.

Thunder, the bug man and, for some reason, the sound of the freezer opening.

She was never scared of fireworks. Was raised right near the braves stadium so heard em every night since she was a pup, but July 4 maybe two or three years ago she went out to piss and the neighbor set off a mortar that didn’t go all the way up and exploded about 20 feet off the ground. She about jumped to the moon and now shakes every time she hears them or thunder. fricking hate it.
She has always hated the vacuum cleaner.

I had a chocolate lab that was afraid of toasters. She'd run and hide as soon as she heard it being taken out the cabinet

Storms and fireworks for mine. She gets downright neurotic every time

Vacuums, garbage bags, and brooms. She just doesn't like loud noises in general but especially the vacuum and she hates the pop of the garbage bag when you're changing them. Dunno what the deal with the broom is, maybe her previous owner beat her with one but the poor girl scurries off to the corner and starts quivering when I go to pick it up.
She's perfectly fine during storms and fireworks on New Years and 4th of July though, weirdly.

<< My once hunting dog would stand under a shotgun with no issues and was essentially afraid of nothing.
Then one day my wife brought him inside during a really bad storm, lots of lighting and was freaking out herself.
Then all of a sudden he started tearing things out the closets trying to hide during storms. Hated the rain but didn’t mind getting wet. He would run from under the cover during a rain, jump in the pool and swim around to get a ball, then haul arse back under the cover like there was molten lava raining from the sky. If no one was around he would have panic attacks during storms.

Changes in barometric pressure and clouds. Not thunder or even necessarily rain, but the precursors. We know when bad weather is coming because she starts looking in and then back over her shoulder like she expects the storm to sneak up on her. Been that way since the flood in 2016. Has been happy af this summer.
Other dog scared of nothing except my husband when he points at her.
Is the dog scared of that rib, too?

Everything….she jumps behind me if startled. A big dog barked at her in a parking lot and she jumped in the car and looked the other direction. On her last outing of the night she runs out barking…because she’s scared of the dark.
She’s a sweet softie.

The one on the right is scared of thunder. The one on the left is scared of thresholds and hallways. Go figure.

've never seen my dog be afraid of anything.
More because he's a doofus than brave.
My Bulldog is like that nothing rattles him.
But
I did scare him one time. He wanted in so I opened the bedroom door half way and hid behind the door. He just stood there like he always does so I poked him with a yard stick where the door was cracked open on the hinge side.
All hell broke loose he didn't know what had him.

We have a mastiff and runs like a greyhound when you pull out aluminum foil. He hates that stuff
