Besides repair costs, rental costs are astronomical. Gone are the days you could pick up an insurance rental from enterprise for 25 day for up to 30 days. Now that probably up to 40-50 dollars a day.
Coverage is limited if you were in the wrong meaning once that 30 day period is over you are paying out of pocket, and this is also rider so you pay extra for it in your premium. I have not seen State Farm increase this option except to go with a policy max for rental coverage for x dollars.
Now if you’re not in the wrong, the other party is paying for your rental regardless of the cost.

Mine went from 99 to 135
Full coverage, car paid off & no claims or tickets
State Farm
Not enough for me to look elsewhere but if it goes up again with no claims I will start shopping around

I’m paying $454 a month with State Farm for a ‘21 Silverado and a ‘23 Traverse. Before the hikes it was around $400 which was still pretty high but since we’re planning on moving out of La next summer I’ll just suck it up ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

In Louisiana, I'm now paying USAA about $242/month for two vehicles. No collision or comprehensive. $300k/$500k liability with UM bodily injury, towing & labor.
In August, before adding a second car to the policy recently, my rates for the same coverage to just one car increased from $107 to $138. I downloaded their tracking app, SafePilot, and that lowered the rate $16 to $122. I've had no accidents, at fault or otherwise, in the last ten years.
My uncle had good results getting a quote from Geico on multiple vehicles after Allstate raised his premium 30% recently. The Geico quote was less than half of Allstate, and he's now insured with them.

Those of us with teen drivers cant participate in these threads. Insurance companies just spin a little wheel with 3 choices- High, Very High, Extremely High.

Progressive
Baton Rouge
21' Ram 1500
$185/mo up from $144
Full coverage 100/300/100
$1000 deductible
Have HOI with them
This is paying for 6 mos up front. Geico had a cheaper monthly rate than progressives monthly rate, but they offer NO discount paying up front.

Not in La anymore, but have had Amica since we were. Not really well known, but they’ve been great and the cheapest every time we compare.
