The fact that our government has created a huge class of lazy, entitled victims who not only won't but don't ever know they are responsible for their own actions and the consequences of those actions.

There is no individuals left. Everyine has to apart of some fricking group. Dem-Rep, Cultfit, environmentalist Non denomination churches also cults, Vegans,Animal lovers so on and so forth. Oh and to be fair, Get ER DUN, John Deere, (enter dumb shite here) life. And the thing is its all to just be apart of a group. 90 percent of the people in these groups couldn't even tell you the facts of the groups/cults but they would die for them. It's pure ignorance and making the country dumber and dumber.

Pretty much. We are increasingly behaving like herd animals.

The fact that the role of media is to make entertain people, not to inform them. Add to that the fact that people are most entertained by watching/reading stories that only confirm their own convictions, furthering the echo chamber.

I'd hate to see modern media handle a true international catastrophe, say WWII for instance.

People not understanding that education is one of this biggest drivers in bettering society, yet the US puts many road blocks (IE expensive education) in place to get said education.

I understand that college is not for everyone, but you could even create incentive to go to trade school.

For example, rural north louisiana is has some of the highest generational poverty in the nation. (Lake Providence and Talullah) Industry wants to come there to take advantage of the high unemployment rate, BUT they do not have enough capable workers to man a factory. It's sad, all of those people, black and white alike, living off the government. Why not tell them okay, in six months we will decrease your welfare or food stamps if you have not at least enrolled in a tech school. If you have not graduated in 3 years we lower it even more, and provide bonuses for milestones reached.

Right now they have no incentive to stop living the way they are living. Price of living is low enough there for them to live comfortable on what they receive, so why stop? They even have road side stands that sell blue crab and crawfish that are foodstamp eligible! It's ridiculous.

When did everyone get so many feelers. Everyone is offended by every little thing. Society is coddled today.

Many of the greatest people in our country's history were outspoken leaders and unapologetic for their views. Very little of that type of leadership remains in this country as fringe elements are purported to now be the norm and any statement of opposition to another's viewpoint is labeled "hate" and is accompanied by the requisite demand/outcry for an apology. This type of society is ultimately harmful to this country and as a nation we seem indifferent to or unable to stop it.

Stupid people now have a voice via social media.
It can be frustrating, but I actually think it's beneficial in that we no longer have to waste time determining if they're stupid or not. The sooner they reveal their stupidity, the sooner we can know to ignore them.

Solid Point!

When the young generation gets older they will be doing the same thing.

I hate that money controls politics. It should be the best candidate who wins the POTUS election, not the "least worst" with the most money.

I don't mind that people have money, and could care less what the 1% does with their money, but that shouldn't be able to sway elections.
