Curious as I’ve been pondering a 3/4 RAM ton lately. Used w/ 50-60K miles are running around 60k. I just can’t fathom spending that much on a vehicle even tho technically I can afford it.
Been observing and there are so many on the road. What do people that drive these make and how do they justify it?

My 3yo makes $0/year and drives a $425 electric vehicle, he’s all about the environment.

If I made 400k I'd have no problem dropping roughly 100-125k on a vehicle assuming I wasn't stretched thin otherwise. And you'd have to be a moron to be stretched thin making almost a half mil a year.

Holy shite, you've been posting threads about this phantom shitty truck you're thinking about buying for months now.

I'll give a serious answer. We have two new vehicles and our notes are 7% of our gross.
Never let your vehicle payment be more than 10% of your gross income or you start making tradeoffs with your savings for a depreciating asset.
This is assuming you want to save 20% of your income min.

Me: ~400k/year including bonus.
Bought current truck for: $18,000
Reality:
Receiving unemployment after McDonald's replaced you with a machine.
Got earned income credit raising three illegitimate kids and bought a $4000 tax car.
Tax car had a shitty, leaky transmission so it conked out, got towed to impound and you can't raise the green to get it out.

I’ve got a 22 F-250 with 5600 miles on it. Sits in my garage 95% of the time and I use for hunting and a little yard work projects at my house.
