Hate to say I understand where Dad is. In my youth, I used to do seven to ten day solo backpack trips on snow shoes or cross country skis. Today, if it gets to sixty, I’m done ! :-)

My Grandma would pile on blankets, she was too cheap to run the “whole house heat”
They would run the gas fireplace
After she passed Pops kept the heat going all the time, wears sweatpants year round...he’s 95, we figured he can do what he wants

My parents who are in their 60’s keep their house cold

Get used to it.

so do a lot of meds, like bp medicine for example, my mother(no pics,) is in her mid nineties and has to have the heat up full blast almost all of the time now
