What is with cross dressing these days?

Geez...a normal night out with the lady and we have a waiter who is dressed as a woman, gesturing like a woman, made up like a woman, but clearly not a woman.
Then later in the evening, encountered another one of 'them'. This one even stuffed some fake breasts in and did a runway-type walk for his friends outside of the establishment we were in.
What the frick is wrong with these people. For some, it's clearly a sign of needing attention. Why can't people be straight/gay and leave it at that? Why do I have to 'accept' this shite as the new norm. Our society sucks for catering to these sick people.
