My best friend and I spent the two summers before we got our drivers licenses doing that. We both saved our money and bought junker cars with it. Best thing about it for us was that the old farmer was cool, and always had us an ice cold beer at the end of the day. There is no better beer than the first beer after a day of throwing hay.

I used to eat things like bananas and oranges and bags of chips for 5 bucks or so

I ate a lizard for $30.

When I was at Ft. Polk, we were on the firing range. Someone snatched up a lizard and said to someone else “I’ll give you 20 bucks to eat this.” Before I could even chime in, it was already at $30. I volunteered quickly. And chewed up that poor lizard.

If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

That sounds super nasty, even if you can catch a buzz ... like toad licking, no matter what the effect my answer is no.
