. I honestly wonder if Jeff Simmons ever thinks about unplugging from there?

It's hard to imagine keeping your family there when you have the options he has. That Greenacres area is still pretty nice but there's no way it can last. I'm 49 from Mer Rouge and I know lots of people who inherited nice houses and land and really hated to let them go for nothing but there's no way to insulate children from the rot. It's disturbing to watch a community simply give up and go on the hustle. I don't think there's a cure for brokeass, ultra-violent white hoodrats. What little middle-class is still hanging on in the city is almost entirely black.

You are correct and it's embarrassing how awful NE La is and unfortunately there's no reason to think it'll change. Besides the sweet tater plant in Delhi and the manufacturing plants in Monroe/West Monroe, what else is there? Driving through Lake Providence and Tallulah is more depressing than going thru Bastrop

East Baton Rouge and Orleans. It’s a race to see who can be the worst. Put “democrats” in charge and that’s what happens every single time. Fact and the proof is undeniable.

At least Madison has good hunting and primo AG land. Washington sucks all the way around.

Define worst.

Ive driven through a lot of miserable looking places in my day. Edgard comes to mind. But I’m sure they’re full of good ole baws. I couldn’t live there bc there’s nothing to do.
