re: What is the worst injury or pain you've been through?

I’ll second the kidney stones response. I was in absolute agony. I was vomiting repeatedly in the ER waiting room. The nurse told me it’s actually worse than the pain women experience during labor with no epidural.

I've had lots of injuries, some pretty significant, but as far as pain, the worst was gallstones.

Fell off the back of a three wheeler and the back of my leg got caught on the muffler while wearing shorts. I had 2nd degree burns on my calf and my hamstring. I still have the scars 30 years later.

Broke my collarbone and dislocated my shoulder. Hurt pretty bad, but the setting of the bone and putting my shoulder back in hurt waaaaaay worse. I seriously thought I was going to pass out from the pain. I always thought that was BS, but believe it now as I got lightheaded and started to get tunnel vision as black slowly creeped in from the edges of my vision. Damn, it just brings me back typing this. frick that hurt.

hand injury, broke 4 fingers, tore middle nail out by roots.......ouch about 6 weeks out of work. torn bicep, suprising how bad it hurts.......oh and 2 hernia surgeries.......yahooo

I could rattle off an extensive list of painful injuries, but I am extremely grateful that I've not had to experience a kidney stone.

Scratched cornea.

I had to be very heavily sedated for about 3 days.
