I've got 2 crushed vertebrae and my sciatica gets pinced.
If it hits just right I lose my freaking mind.

Nothing too serious.
Broke the same arm twice at age 5 and 8. Neither time hurt as bad as serious heartburn or a good nutshot so I’ve been fortunate.

Broke my ankle during football practice in highschool. The most painful part about it was after the surgery, and the pain meds wore off while my leg was swollen in the hard cast. That shite was brutal.

THIS!! Had it in high school and after one practice it was too unbearable i was at home miserable and decided to go into the ER. Big mistake because i got this big German nurse who cut into it and the broad was ruthless. Still not sure she knew exactly what she was doing.. I’m pretty sure i called her and everyone in the room every word in the dictionary. A few days later had to pull the gause out that they packed it with and pretty sure i passed out from that pain.

was out hiking in a canyon in Utah. Was not due for another three weeks. Stepped down from a rock and my water broke. Then it was on.
Try laying down on rocks and giving birth. Then let me know if it was a choice I made. You would be a whimpering little turd.
That's a great story. I bet you're undefeated when the other moms start comparing labor stories.
How far from the trailhead were you?
Who helped with the delivery?
How'd did you get out of there?
If you tell me you delivered the baby yourself, bit the umbilical cord in half, stuffed junior in your daypack and walked out, I'm going to call bullshite. Unless your name is Missy and you live in Phoenix. That chick could do it.

Testicular torsion.
Did it happen in your sleep? I know two guys who had this and it happened to both of them while they slept.

Worst injury?
Separated shoulder
Most pain?
3 way tie among aforementioned separated shoulder, appendicitis and a second degree burn on my leg.

Who goes on a remote hiking trip across the country 3 weeks away from your delivery date? Did they airmed her and the baby out of the canyon to save momma and babies life?
I need more details.
Btw, I used to walk uphill barefooted in the snow and ice to AND from school back when I started kindergarten. I loss 3 toes due to frostbite in the 2nd grade.

Dad is a tough old Marine (WWII, Korea and Nam vet).
Your father flew B-24s before he transitioned to rotary wing, right? Did he ever fly F4U Corsairs? A friend's father was a Marine and had similar career as your father, but he flew Corsairs in WWII. He told us a story about retracting the landing gear on the F4U. There was a hand crank similar to the winch on a boat trailer. If the gear didn't lock in place, the crank would spin as the gear dropped back down. If the landing gear dropped completely down, it could be damaged by the impact. To avoid this from happening, pilots were taught to put their leg into the path of the crank handle to stop it.
One day, Mr Sam's gear didn't lock and started to fall back down. As trained, he immediately stuck his leg into the path of the handle to stop the gear from freefalling. He said what they never told him was how bad it would hurt. He tried to continue on his mission, but found he couldn't press the rudder pedal (can't remember if it was left or right) because the pain was so bad. He ended up aborting and returning to base. He tried to suck it up, but as it turned out, his leg was broken.
He was a tough old guy who is no longer with us. Every time you post about your father, I think about Me Sam.

My story is I had some lower right back pain one saturday morning. Not bad like most people with kidney stones have spoken about, but enough to bother me. Someone told me that when that happens a hot bath can help. After sitting in a hot bath for about an hour the pain went away. I did start to notice a strange feeling when peeing and a slight feeling like when you get hit in the nuts. After a couple days of this I started having to feel like I had to pee all the time. I went to the doctor and he thought it was a UTI so he have me a weeks worth of antibiotics. They didn't help at all. I went back and he gave me some tablets that make you piss a dark orange color. He said its supposed to sooth irritated areas in the urinary tract. That didn't help. Then one weekend I just started feeling worse, no pain, but the urge to pee was stronger and felt like I had to poop too. Called the doc back and he said it could be a kidney stone. A friend suggested a urologist and the next morning I got a CT scan and went to see him. One look at the scan showed I had 2 kidney stones. One still at the bottom of the kidney (which I still have today, 4 years later) and another stuck between the kidney and the bladder I think (the ureter?). From start to this visit was 3 weeks. Doc asked how long I have been feeling this and I told him. Then he said I could keep trying to pass it but it was most likely stuck since its been so long. He recommended the ureteroscopy and 3 hours later the stone was removed. I was going out of town in a few days so he didn't put stents in, but stents are normal procedure from what I understand. Since I didn't I had the bladder spasms, which were painful. I think the rest of the story is in the previous post. I think my stone was 5mm and was calcium oxylate. I think it was caused from a very high protein diet I was on for a few months. Haven't had any more since then. Unfortunately the 2nd stone will eventually pass. Recent CT showed it as a 2cm stone and its about halfway up the kidney now. If I had to have another ureteroscopy done it would not bother me since I know what to expect. Its all under general anesthesia so no worries. Drink plenty of water for the next weeks, lemon water should be part of your routine if its a calcium/calcium oxylate stone. You will be pissing little blood clots for a couple weeks. Also, the first day or two after it will feel like you are pissing razor blades so be prepared for that. Let me know if you have any other questions.
