a Louisianian's pipe dream.
Texas would have it built in 2 years, but Louisiana would drag that shite out for 2 decades while their slimy arse politicians fight over who's construction company, owned by their brother-in-law, will give them the biggest kickback.

A lot of good answers so far.
Think about how dumb the average poster here is and realize they are some of the smarter people in this state

Why deal with the BS when a company can set up shop in Texas or ATL.

The bill to designate the I-14 route through Louisiana was just introduced in June. Even your map says “congressional action required”. Maybe at least let the federal government approve the project before you start shitting on LA’s execution?
(Disclaimer: You very well may be able to shite on LA’s execution in a couple of years. But still..)

Which companies won’t come here. Virtually every major manufacturing company and all major oil companies have a presence here. It’s not Silicon Valley, but there is a lot of business here.

you’re correct. And I want I-14 more than anybody living in Houston and having inlaws in North Louisiana, Family in South Louisiana, and more family in South Mississippi. But you know exactly what I’m getting at with the inevitable Louisiana red tape and corruption slowing I-14 completion.

#8 motivated talent can purchased for the right price to work anywhere. See Midland, Texas.
Most businesses will locate somewhere that has the needed talent rather than have to pay a premium to attract it, unless natural resources are involved the availability of needed work force is going to be in the top 3 of key factors determining a business location.

The route is being called a military corridor. Gonna run along highway 28 passing through Leesville and Pineville. Thats Ft Polk and Camp Beauregard and then catches the base in or near Meridian before Ft Benning in Ga. The military has interests so they’re gonna eventually pony up in a few areas along the route. Can’t imagine Rapides Parish not getting a good look on that with the two active bases, Alexandria International Airport/old air base, Red River Port of Ellic, and I-10/20/49 being nearby.

K-12 edumacation baw.
No company is settling in EBR with the school system in place. If you don’t have the coin for private school, not many good options.

Corruption
I met with the former head of the nola fbi field office before he departed for Chicago and he was very blunt about the problems in LA. He said unquestionably the biggest problem facing Louisiana is corruption. He said our public officials are the worst in the country. They think they are in office for private gain. He said there was corruption that the public has no clue about.

eta 2040 in Louisiana?
This is Louisiana so you very well may be right but im thinking the military won’t allow it to drag that long. Texas has already completed a portion of theirs so that should add influence. 15 years is pushing it imo.
