Can it be linked to one panicked Mom posting something on Facebook about saying it will run out?

Could it be linked to the rumors weeks ago that everything will be shutdown and people across the nation just assume that we'll run out of toilet paper?

My theory is that someone at Costco saw someone get their normal 90 pack of TP, and he thought he had better get his, too, and then he told two friends, they told two friends....

I want to blame it on Facebook or Twitter, though

It bewilders me. The virus is not a GI bug that's going to put people on toilets. The only rational reason we might have a TP shortage is a disturbance in the supply chain. Factory shut downs....trucker shut downs....retail store issues.....IF those things happened, TP will be the least of our worries.

I was with a guy from Hawaii. It started over there before it hit the 48. I was laughing at him. I guess he is laughing now.

It's not a crisis, we're just getting ready.

To celebrate when this corona non-sense is over, we're gonna make all of America look like Toomer's Oaks after the Sabans go down.

Same thing happened with Y2K and 9/11, TP, bread, gas, etc. TP, bread; and gas are usually the first things people fill up on. Folks lose composure, grown men panic and freak out, the rest of us sit back and shake our heads in embarrassment for them

This really shows how gullible a lot of our population is. Technology maybe great and all for some things but it's made us dumber as a society.

I bought a few extra packs of TP but mainly because I am self-isolating. As a chemo patient, I am part of the high-risk group. I am only 52 but the chemo I have taken of the past 4 years has my body all fricked up and my immune system is down as well. Hell, I have to take a Neulasta shot every two weeks with chemo to help keep my white blood cells in a somewhat normal range.
I have chosen to remain home as much as possible to limit exposure so I don't want to have to go to walmart or anywhere else where I would come into to close contact with the general public. I am scheduled to go to MD Anderson next week for re-staging scans, blood work and meet with my Oncologist over there and I truely do not want to go into houston and be in contact with many, many people on the MD Anderson campus despite the fact that they told me they were open for business. Hard decision upcoming on that trip.

The first I saw was Australia. That's where that clip of the women getting into a fight over TP originated. It snowballed from there.

I went to the store in Columbus on Tuesday or Wednesday and the first person I saw coming out was a lady bear hugging as many packs of TP as she could. Nothing else in her arms. I knew it was only a matter of time before everyone made a run on supplies. Especially once schools closed.

I think it started in Australia.i ordered some from amazon and it took a week to arrive. I had one roll left in the house when we got the shipment.

Your situation is much more understandable than Martha and John who’s kids are grown and moved out buying 6 huge packs of TP when they normally wouldn’t buy anywhere close to that. You never truly know everyone’s situation but when I went to Walgreens the other day to buy a box of Runts candy seeing the TP aisle slam full and everyone loading up 2-3 buggies of TP was just embarrassing

Was just at local grocery and it was comical. They only had that 1-ply sandpaper Scott's left. Guess this is not an emergency after all.

I want to start a rumor so that everyone will go buy up all of the Kale.

Kale, ladies and gents, when mixed with ketchup, is a 100 percent cure-all from Corona. Think of it as garlic to a vampire.

You and Arkansas should get a room with how much you post about it. Wasnt sure a State could actually frick someone's girl, but if a State could, it would be Arkansas and your girl.
