I flew from Baton Rouge to ATL Sunday and both of the pilots were girls.

Terrified? THe only time I can think of was when I was bluff charged by this guy while hiking. He's taking an aggressive posture in the pic. Was about 20 yards away. No spray or firearms on me.

I’ve told the story. Mountain Lion a few feet behind the tree I was sitting against while hunting. Almost dark and it started roaring and squally, pissed and wanted to find me bad

This reminds me of a time when we were kids and my friend's dad let us sleep out in the woods on their land. We didn't have a tent or anything we were just in sleeping bags with a couple of flash lights. We hear what we were 100% sure that it was a bear or a wolf walking towards us, the sounds of the leaves crunching were getting louder and louder until the beast was right on top of us. Just as we were sure that we were going to have our flesh torn from our bodies we were able to locate a flashlight and shine it in that direction while screaming. It was one of the neighbors hound dogs just standing there with a goofy arse look on his face.

I was in a vehicle accident in which a woman who failed to yield hit me on the front driver's side which sent me spinning into a telephone pole then a ditch.

I thought it was a deer or whatever coming up behind me until it started screaming. I swear that’s was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me . In a list of many things

You know what's sad? Anyone on here I know who would say this would be joking, but I am not familiar with you enough so I assume you are serious.. And if that is the case that is pretty sad. You take someone on a message board that serious you want the to die.
You need to go out and socialize in the real world.
Also, why are you trying to fit in on here? That's what people like you do when you try to say over the top "insults" to me. That isn't going to get you to be more well liked around here.. Since you obviously care about shite like that.

Irony aside, shut the frick up.

Giving my youngest a bath, oldest normally chills in his room and plays with his toys. Come back out and his door is open and so is the sliding door to the back patio. Didnt have a fence in the backyard at the time. Eventually found him 3 houses down playing with their dogs. Terrifying 15 minutes for me. Absolute rock in my stomach.
Weve since put up a fence and all sorts of locks. Feels like breaking into a vault just to get outside now.

A few years back my daughter's mother was in a terrible wreck with a drunk driver. She ended up spending three weeks in ICU. It wasn't much a fear for me as it was a fear that my daughter would not have her mother anymore.

Truck skidding toward the back of my stopped car in the rain on I-10. My toddler son was in car seat in back. Thought I was going to faint!!!

I was pumping gas at a small station off the highway between Greenville and Charleston. My wife and two daughters (4 and 5ish) got out and were walking to the store to get a drink etc. Hillbilly POS in a blacked out rig throws it in reverse without looking and is headed straight for all three of my family. Wife is talking to girls and does not see it coming. I jump and scream at the top of my lungs enough to somehow get the attention of all parties. But I thought I was going to lose all three.

one hospital said that my daughter possibly has a brain tumor. she was 4. went to get a second opinion. did the scan. doc says it'll take about 4 hours to get results. i can't tell you how terrified i was for that 4 hour span. results came back negative.

From almost burning alive in a car wreck, to being a scared little boy alone, in the dark, and at his sleeping, alcoholic/ pill addicted and loving father's side praying he'd start breathing again when one day he did not; or begging my cousin to let me sleep while in a state of severe hypothermia waiting on SAR to get us off the wrong side of a flash flooding mountain river that we were fly fishing on; to getting stabbed (yes stabbed, trashy I know, but I didn't know it'd go full trashy) in a run-of-the-mill fisticuff match when I was 16 over some slaw arse chick who's fat now, and more: I've had quite a few "Is this the end?" moments where I truly questioned my mortality and the finite nature of life and living.
But, because today I live, all of those incidents give me hindsight and learned me on living: I will not ride with a fool at the wheel, I will revere a child's innocence; I will enjoy food and wine while living out my futile days under the sun but with moderation and thanksgiving; I will not fight a man but I will kill him if needed...
...I will not be on the wrong side of a river when it starts to rain, no matter how big the trout are or how great they're biting...
However, the scariest moments by far- the ones that made (and make) me recognize the fragile nature of existence in slowed time and space- have always been when family or a friend's time was up: When the piper had come to be paid and when hindsight and learning had run its course.
Those have been- and are- my scariest moments.
