There is a really great "tell me a creepy story" thread that has a thousand or so pages iirc.

The Boston Bombing thread wasn’t the longest in TD history, but it is by far my favorite thread of all time.
The MH370 one was pretty good too. I hope there is a reason for it to somehow be bumped one day.

Zimmerman trial

I started and updated the Zimmerman thread as the trial progressed. In the last couple of days it was impossible to update as people were posting so fast it would gain a couple of pages every time I would try to read a comment or edit the OP.

Correct, longest singular thread.
ATPB and Boston Bomber were some of the hottest ever. ATPB even has websites to remember it.
If you combined the hurricane threads into a single thread, they would probably win for both titles.
