Get your sons circumsized unless you want him to have a weird looking anteater dick.

There's a difference between that and the other stuff you've been posting calling people cowards and that they're not protecting their children. Just cool it.

Why can't he make that choice himself?

Well I guess that is one way to frame it.

He can, but the risk of a complication is much higher for older boys.

Male circumcision is become less and less common. It's down to about 58% in the US as of 2014. It was 69% in 1969. If 42% if the population isn't circumcised, it's not weird looking.

I want to be an anteater, like the vast majority of my ancestors (and yours).

I find it odd that a lot of shade being thrown is for aesthetic reasons and not health reasons (which I can respect).

I don't have one. I'm circumcised and it wasn't my choice.

Didn't read thread. BUT, did anybody ask LOTOT which they prefer?

Sounds like a personal decision that would require a lot of informed deliberation.

I saw those numbers but I still find that a little difficult to believe.

Circumcision is no longer covered by Medicaid and even some health insurances. So I wonder how much that plays into the decline. More and more hospitals do not even do it right after the baby is born. Now it's done more outpatient at a pediatricians office. Usually costs $400-500.

Pretty sure only white folks and black folks routinely do it, so it's not surprising as our demographics change.

Most chicks I know think they are ugly. I don't want my son to have an ugly dick. So I will get him circumcised.

Though I'm also one that thinks it is totally fine to pierce an infant's ears. I know the OT hates that.

Sure. I don't care one way or the other.

That could play a part. Our pediatrician asked if we wanted it done in hospital and it would have only cost $250. My insurance covered it but we just weren't interested.

how many of you fathers would be willing to sit in the same room while this happens to your newborn?

hmmm?

put your money where you mouth is..if you think its just a 'snip snip' then be a MAN and GO WATCH THE PROCEDURE and your baby son's reaction.

if you can't be man enough to do that, then clearly deep down you know whats happening is wrong, you'd just prefer to sit in the hallway sipping a starbucks while your newborn is screaming.

eta here's your son, in case you want to know what he's feeling

With white people it's becoming less prevalent. Medical studies have continued, for over a decade, to indicate that it isn't necessary. Black people are the biggest hold outs at this point.

There is also the smell thing as well. Which is true.
