Eta yeah a little strong but I went through immense peer pressure to keep my boy complete from doctors, nurses and my own extended family.

I didn't make the choice lightly.

How it originated is irrelevant when you have major medical organizations that believe it is a net health benefit.

Wait, the people in this thread who are likening it to child abuse are the anti-circumcision crowd.

Touche. I suppose you can make the argument for both cases.

I get the impression that people are saying that by not having your child circumcised you are inherently exposing them to a number of medical ailments. Consequently, the parent/s is/are engaging in some form of negligence.

I view it as child abuse for an entirely different reason.

You mean lobbyists? You might want to reread how the AAP was pressured to back their initial report that there was no benefit from this practice and look who pressured them.

I wonder why health organizations outside of America or Israel do not also push circumcision if it is such a healthy practice.

My biggest complaint is the lack of feels.

As opposed too?

Studies suggest it does not adversely affect sexual performance in any way.

I think it's creepy as frick that people are so obsessed with what their child's genitals look like. I'm circumcised. My son isn't. It's an unnecessary procedure.

I'm not arguing that it is some life or death practice by any means, and even the organizations that suggest it domestically do so saying it has a slight benefit.

However, the WHO recommends it for places with high HIV rates.

Having more nerve endings in my penis and not having my dickhead exposed to fabric for almost 30 years?

My sexual performance is beyond adequate, it's my personal enjoyment that I think has been lessened.

I only know how my penis feels without those extra billion nerve endings.

I'm sure i wouldn't notice the difference.

Circumcision is nothing more than a money maker for doctors...they get paid by the insurance company plus they get to keep the tip !!!!!!!!

They apparently measure sexual desire, reported pain from intercourse, premature ejaculation, overall time, ED, and difficulties with an orgasm.

You need to relax with these personal attacks on people for having their children circumcised.

I'm trying to open a few people's eyes to the fact they have a choice. I bet most people blindly follow what was done to them and for what?

I doubt anyone would admonish him for making such a stance against a similar practice for a female infant.

cultural norms :/

If we did the same to little girls, like they do in many third world countries, people would be in an uproar. How is mutilating the penis of a male any different?
