Pretty broad areas there. Manhattan is very different from Brooklyn and those are both NYC.

Both sides are very liberal. East coast people are mostly Jews, and the west coast people are, well, I guess just mostly SJW atheists/scientologists with a few Mormons in-between. You pay an arm and a leg to live on either side. To conclude, both sides suck arse.

East Coast is Jews, Italians, Irish heavy at least relative to everywhere else. I dont know much about the West coast

Question was new england, not east coast. There are only 5 million jews in all usa so your imagination about all 135 million east coasters being jews is off about 97%. 1.8% of adult americans are Jewish religion. Another 0.8% of usa are ethnic jews who are some other practice or agnostic.
