BR Pre-Katrina wasn’t bad at all.

Yes, it was. The murder rate in early to mid 90’s was pretty bad.

I would open a vein if I had to cross that bridge twice per day.

I commute around an hour or so a day, but it’s not the causeway or twinspan

I’d eat a bullet if I had to do either

Same for I-10, and the Spillway.

I have the easiest and best commute in the state IMO

Really? I can see 35 minutes or more being a big deal, but 22 isn’t bad at all.

This or False River

My thing is Old Mandeville has some good bars and restaurants very close by.

Oh for fcks sake. In the early 90's BR may have been worse than Nola for violent crime. People always spouting this crap about Katrina like BR was some awesome place before.

I commute 5 miles on BR surface streets. About 15 minutes to work and 25 on the way home. My wife's commute is 2 miles. We moved closer to work/school to not have to deal with the traffic from the suburbs.

Pointe Coupee has horrible public schools. Always has but got much worse after they closed the Central school and decided to use Livonia as the only high school. I went to CHSPC in middle school & cried everyday to move back to Central and live with my daddy. My brother & sister graduated from Livonia bf Central closed and it was nothing like it is now.

I don’t want to work too close to my house and and I don’t want to live too close to my office.

I can get the same amount of work done in the truck on the way to and from the office as I can sitting at my desk.

I've lived in New Orleans as well as other places in this state and out of state. The ONLY place I'd live in this state is Baton Rouge. Sorry haters.

BR is not without its problems, but that's most places, and NOWHERE in La. is close to being ideal.

How is oak ridge a best place. They don't even have a gas station.

Technically we do have a gas station. Or at least a mechanic that has gas pumps which he sells gas out of. You can also buy bagged ice on occasion there. So boom.

Mamou has been too full for decades. The suburb of Pine Point is where it's at.

After Houston..? Not saying LA is the greatest place but this whole thread is about Louisiana and has nothing to do with your precious Houston. Houston itself is shite. It’s the suburbs that are nice there. IMO. I don’t see how that is a crazy statement either.
