Lafayette is the only one I’d live in but everyone has their preference

I was in Ruston in 1996 for a playoff game against Grambling high school. I haven’t been back since

In all seriousness, the best place IMO is Mandeville. No ghetto, clean, good schools, good proximity to NOLA and BR for LSU games, mostly white working/upper class and it seems like a very safe place. People will have negative opinions but I’ve been all over the state and Mandeville is the only place I’d picture myself living forever.

where does everyone in the OT live? Houston?
I am the unicorn. I lived in Houston and moved back to Monroe.
The OT rides Monroe like a horse but I like it because it checks all the boxes for my hobbies like great hunting, fishing, golf, a super BJJ school, good places to eat, straight shot to Tuscaloosa, and a really nice health club. Plus, I grew up here. If I was going to pick another city, it would be Lake Charles just because I love fishing Big Lake.

Everytime someone makes a thread discussing what to do in a town everyone shits on it so what is the best town to live in? It seems like the small towns are "trashy" and the big cities have too much "culcha" where does everyone in the OT live? Houston?
If you're raising a family, Lafayette.
If you're single, New Orleans.

I lived in Houston and moved back. When I lived IN Houston it was good, when I moved out to the suburbs it went bad

1. North shore
2. Lafayette/South Lafayette
3. West Monroe
If the idiots in Lafy who loathe LSU would die off, the town would be way better. North shore is just so much cleaner and less trashy than the rest of the state. IMO. it doesn’t feel like you’re in LA anymore because there’s actually no litter everywhere and bums at every intersection.
