I mean it was shows I was watching in like 4th/5th grade
FYI: Gundam Wing really holds up. After that, I found the whole series for sale on DVD for like $30 and rewatched it in its entirety. It was way better than I remembered it as a kid.

My favorite was when Southpark did a two part show and were going to reveal who Eric Cartman’s father was. The first part was in February, and it was end of the season. They made a big to-do about the next show, Eric’s dad, etc. they built it up for weeks.
The second show was scheduled for Apr 1st. The show started like normal then switched to the “Terrance and Phillip Show”.
They pissed off a lot of viewers. People called in threatening to boycott the show, etc.
Weeks later they made a cheap “real” show just to make everyone happy. They said it was the dumbest story for a show, but viewers were happy.

On April 1, 1998, Greg "Opie" Hughes and Anthony Cumia claimed that Boston Mayor Thomas Menino had been killed in a head-on collision. Over the course of the show, they stretched out the "reports" in a nonchalant manner, mingling them with call-in segments and other (presumably real) news. The style was to undersell the story, and at one point the duo even noted, "When a big story like this breaks, a lot of weird facts come in."
Boston magazine provides the best recap of the scandal and its aftermath. Because the mayor was on a plane when the rumors began, many Bostonians believed the news was true until Menino got off the plane and, as he put it, "found out I was dead." Menino wrote the Federal Communications Commission asking them to fine the radio station, and though the station tried to apologize, Menino didn't accept it. The general manager and program director were suspended, and Opie and Anthony were fired.

Worked at a bar for a while. 2 other bartenders were hooking up and the chick decides to get a positive pregnancy test from a friend to April fool the guy bartender. I couldn’t let my buddy fall into it as the rest of the staff was told about the prank because the plan was to let him know later that night it was a prank. I told him and we decided to run our own prank. She broke the news and he pretended to freak. He went into the bathroom and I told everyone he was devastated and crying. He came out of the bathroom and walked up to her and said “Look. I cried because I was scared but realized that this happened for a reason. This baby is a blessing and fate brought us here. Let’s make it official.” And then dropped down on one knee to propose.
