What is max gradient a 15 passenger van can climb from hztl surface?

If 70k 18 wheelers can do it in the mountains why couldn’t a passenger van handle it? Where are you trying to drive?

In college and law school I taught rock climbing at a camp in NC, we took 12 kids (15-18 so pretty much adult sized) and 3 instructors plus several hundred pounds of climbing gear over some pretty steep mountain roads in a standard 15 passenger van. I would guess many of the grades were over 10% and quite a few over 20% for short stretches. After turning 21 I often drove and don't remember it being any real issue.

At 300 ft lbs of torque, assuming the avg passenger is 150 lbs and the van is full, a 15 passenger van can climb a maximum 67.4* rise at 58.9 mph.

Lot of variables to consider. Wheelbase, front bumper ground clearance, rear bumper ground clearance, surface material, stall speed, just to name a few.

Way to vague. If you get a 15 passenger with the Mercedes Diesel (SP-15), then you have shite-ton of torque (325 lb-ft @ 1,400 rpm) that will take you up any hill you need to climb.
As for incline...approach angle is 19 degrees and departure angle is 15 degrees...but that is unloaded.
