So you’re saying that the answer is actually 288?

I’d have to say zero. n - n = 0 so substitute infinity for n

That’s the funny thing about indeterminate forms. You can make them be anything you want. But it only makes sense when your mathematical model predicts nature. Physicists play this game all the time.

According to the esteemed mathematician Billy Preston, nuthin from nuthin leaves nuthin. Hope that helps.

Infinity is not a number, so you can't substitute. Might as well say purple minus purple equals zero.

L'Hopital's Rule

I took way too much math for my degrees.

ETA: that's one solution, I'm too buzzed to think harder.

Hence the reason math isn't reality.

Regular arithmetic isn’t really defined on infinities. Some infinities you can’t even place in order. What’s the smallest number bigger than 0?

get some wide screen photos from the Hubble telescope and consider the time and distance and realize that it in no way describes infinity adequately

The subject on calculus would use a phrase like “indeterminate”.

I have retained next to nothing when it comes to advanced math over the years. But I always thought if the limit never approaches anything then the limit does not exist.
