Parking
On-site parking is available for patrons on a first come, first serve basis. Parking is $25 card only per vehicle. Limited ADA parking is available on a first come, first serve basis. Please notify the parking attendant of the need for ADA parking.

Yeah I saw that but didn't know how realistic it is.

Treme is known for its overnight safety.

lived walking distance to MJ for years never once had a problem
that area is fine, it’s when you cross esplanade it gets a little dicey in spots. Even there’s not all bad near like Sidney’s and a couple blocks up.

I went there for a “Cowboy Opera” with the wife last weekend. There’s a hotel 1 block away called The Guest House. It’s cool and dirt cheap. We just walked to the venue.

Treme has gentrified a lot. The blocks surrounding I-10 are still shite though.

You'd let your daughter walk around or tell her to park at the theater?

It absolutely has. I lived in New Orleans pre Katrina and told my wife the area was sketchy. Not anymore.
One of my old man sayings to her is “if you see gay dudes walking dogs, you’re in a nice neighborhood.”
Lots of gays and dogs in that neighborhood now.

Book one of the premium lots nearby in advance. Very much worth it.

That place and the adjacent Municipal Auditorium (a grand old building left to rot) have abundant parking.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned to just Uber there and back. Get dropped off and picked up at the entrance, no parking hassles.

yall downvoting (but not responding of course) actual information from people who have lived in that area is fricking hilarious.
