I never said all women are blanket psychos. I said its just smarter to not put yourself in a position where someone can frick you over. If your buddies hadn't gotten married, they'd be free of their exes MUCH easier.

Meh. The things in life worth having come with a risk. I agree with LL. A lot of people choose shitty partners. They get so wrapped up in the fun stuff, they don’t stop to think about the relationship. Maybe I just got lucky, I don’t know. Mine is pretty fricking great.

Very true. I don't disagree with you there.
I just think marriage is a perfectly reasonable decision if you're not a poor judge of character. Sadly, it does seem like a lot of people are and therefore shouldn't be getting married.

To each his own. I don't think risking half of your money and future lifestyle is worth any one person but thats me

So many guys have decided to never get married... until they get married!

Marriage imo only makes sense if both make the same and have similar future earning potential. Otherwise you are just betting half your shite on a relationship which can be ended for any reason

are you familiar with the "prenuptial agreement"?

In most states, nothing acquired prior to marriage is considered joint/marital property even without a prenup.
Bottom line: marry someone with similar earning potential and spending habits, and it’s moot.

Derek Jeter is the only man who ever did it right.
Slayed the hottest chicks in the world then the year he retires picks out the worlds top supermodel. Ducking monster.

Logically, getting married is a bunch of horse shite. Other than a couple being able to add one another to their insurance, what can be achieved by being married that you can't if you were not married?
Being married is just a legal status. But it has different meanings to different people so I am sure you would limit yourself if you are looking for a woman who has the same view on marriage (being she doesn't care about getting married).
With that said, you don't ever have to decide to or not to get married. You can just move along with life and if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't.

40 here and never married
I identify as male, so I am starting to see more and more that getting into marriage is a losing proposition at my age.
But in 25 years your life is pretty much worthless
Live it up

Sociologically speaking, men have historically married downward and women upward. We'll have to see a societal change before this becomes a reasonable prospect for many.

Depending on what state you live in, by law you might actually be married
No common law marriage laws on the books in the state I live in. So again, not married by law.

I’ve see a few studies that suggest marriages between people of the same class tend to be more successful.

18. The blunt truth is marriage is set up to be beneficial for women not men unless you can somehow get some really successful chick to marry you. Don't get married and if you are unhappy, you can just bounce with little issues unless you are common law which is easily avoidable
I married at 27 to a successful business minded woman and it was the best thing I ever did. My wife keeps my redneck tendencies in check.

Aren’t you still a virgin? If you haven’t married by now I highly doubt it’s worth it.

I also would hope that any woman that I would want to be with would not be so insecure to think that marriage would keep me around any longer than non-marriage would.
If that is your attitude toward marriage, you have already passed that age.
Apparently marriage has nothing to offer you.
