In a way yes, lots of times the wife will become a stay at home mom after marriage and kids and the judge will look way more favorably on that in custody since she's there more often. If you don't get married, the woman isn't gonna give up her job/career so if anything you have a better shot at proving your kid needs you.

I disagree. The only person you TRULY know is yourself, people change, once she's got you by the "legal balls". She has no reason to be good to you anymore, its stupid to put yourself in a position to where she can frick you over.

At the end of the day, marriage is just a financial agreement, its not like the gov't can guarantee you genuine affection from your partner. If you are gonna get married, atleast marry well(on your level).
