I don’t know if it has an actual odor...more a subconscious detection of pheromones...but usually it’s the behaviour. It’s like they are just hungry for some low down dirty bestial boning.

I remember seeing a show (may have been on TLC) that covered attraction and there was an experiment a young guy was in but didn't know the full details. I think he was set to take a test or something by himself in a room and a female was to put materials near him as she would stand next to him.
It turned out she was a twin. So, they were dressed alike and one of them was ovulating. Every once in awhile they would check on his progress, standing near him. Boy, would he perk up and show some interest at the twin that was ovulating, Was funny to watch him get mixed signals when they switched places
