WBRZ always has good talent but they seem to move on pretty often. Id like to be the hiring coordinator for that station. They have a pretty good eye

If it's Emma Kate Cowan you're talking about she's on abc3340.com Birmingham Alabama morning show.

What happened to the young blond lady meteorologist at WBRZ that drove the Volvo XTC, license plate RFT2378, liked chocolate ice cream, and who had nice smelling hair?

So, good looking women don't like going to work in a turrible area?

She’s not ugly, but she’s not make a stalking thread on tigerdroppings about her hot either

I can see her left nipple indentation. That’s a great looking nipple.

WBRZ has a ridiculously high turnover rate.
Terrible area to work is one major factor
BR Traffic is a other

For a while, WBRZ hired recently graduated young women for the early morning show & noon broadcast. I'd guess they were (1)cheaper than more experienced meteorologists, and (2)perhaps more likely to take that suck-arse shift so they could gain some on-air experience.
Several of the young women who filled that role said in social media posts that they rose at 2:00 am so they could get themselves ready (presentable) and arrive in time to study data/prepare for each day's broadcast.
So consider if this were your job: you're 22 - 23 years old, you set an alarm for 2:00 to give yourself adequate time to be on the air, and you presumably get off at 1:00 after the noon broadcast. When you go home, friends, family, and maybe a significant other are working, or perhaps still in class. Then, when they get off work and maybe have dinner or socialize, it's time for you to go to bed so you can wake up at 2:00 and do it all over again. Even on days off, you can't deviate too much from that schedule, or it makes the first day back at work a bitch to get through. Then, when there's a hurricane in the Gulf of America (see what I did there, LOL), I understand that these young ladies would come to work with several days clothing because they didn't know how long they would be stuck at the station, working far in excess of their regular hours.
It's no wonder they only do that for 2 or so years before moving to another station, or leaving broadcasting altogether, for something with a better (more reasonable) schedule. But as to the original question, the last "weather girl," Emma Kate Cowan, took a job in Alabama because she's from Georgia, and the new station put her closer to her family and long-time friends.

This. I used to do production on one of the local morning shows and the schedule was devastating.
The female anchor started having some sort of midlife crisis and telling us how bad the job aged her. Then she started seeking a lot of validation from us. Too much validation.
A new younger male anchor joined towards the end of my time and I feel like I saw him go prematurely grey over the course of a year.
Also, I tread real lightly here, but I think one of the higher ups at the station referenced here might just be doing gooner hires.
