The primary purpose of a church is to fulfill the Great Commission trusting that doing so will change hearts which improves our individual and collective lot. Caring for others in times of need ought to be a reflection of faith doing good works. Diminishing others is not the call of the disciple but to edify the body of Christ, His bride, the universal, invisibly directed church. Anything else is man, or in this case woman, employing the name of the church to do a supernatural work and that won't work, never has, never will..

The irony of all this is Krista claimed that the Cajun Navy was 100% white and conservative. Since she doesn't know every member, she is making an assumption...and that assumption is based on the belief that liberals and minorities are unwilling to help others. Very racist of her.
