I bought a laptop today from Best Buy. Ordered online, they said they would notify me when it was ready for pick up (Metairie Veterans store). Hour or so later got an email saying it was ready for pickup. Drove over, entered store, went to pickup counter, showed him the code on my phone to the guy behind the counter, he said he’d be right back, thirty seconds later he reappeared, gave me package, walked out the store to my car.
I was in the store less than five minutes. Couldn’t have been any easier.

In person shopping in general has become a huge hassle. All the stores are understaffed and self-check out is such a pain and disorganized.
I was at 5 Below recently and they have a bunch of self-checkout stations. I went to use one and was stopped by the employee saying I have to do the scanning for you...then why have self-checkout stations?

BB already peaked decades ago. I would not be surprised if they start closing stores around.

Their employees suck! Affirmative action at work

I used to love going to the one in Monroe. Employees there were cool and very helpful.
The last few years it has gone downhill. The girl at the register was lost, the other employees were just walking around.
One guy was very knowledgeable and that was about it.
I guess scam-azon is about to take them out too.

Yeah I personally don't have any issues with best buy

I never go to BB, just order most things on Amazon. But I had time so I stopped in yesterday and they had the monitor my kids wanted for $40 cheaper than what I was going to pay on Amazon. So I’m happy I saved $80 and will check in more often for electronics.

Went to BB during Covid. They wouldn't allow me in unless I made an appointment (had a mask).
Only been back once to recycle some Dish Network boxes.
