For me it is beans. I've eaten beans in a chili, but beans by itself, no thank you. I just don't like the texture.

Another one is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I can eat peanut butter sandwiches all day, but give me one with jelly on it and I will not eat it. Why anyone would mess up a perfectly good peanut butter sandwich by adding jelly to it is beyond me.

And as the OP stated, guacamole is another one. It just doesn't look appealing to me and have no desire to try it.

I make sure it's not on anything. I'm telling you it makes me cringe just thinking about it. I know it's irrational, but I can't stand it. I every mistakenly took a bite of something with ketchup I would 100% vomit on the spot.

And I only eat fries as a reason to eat ketchup. Ketchup, and there's only one, Heinz, makes everything better. Scrambled eggs, ham sandwich, any fried food....

Never had it on your steak?

Why? If you cook the meat properly you don't need anything at all. The only people I know who put ketchup on their steak cooked it bone dry.

So you wouldn't consider Gumbo for dinner?

Nope, not for a main course.

Also never had ketchup. I won't even touch a bottle and hearing the air come out making the squirt sound near about makes me gag. Don't know why, but it disgusts me.

I know this one guy who puts ketchup on everything. One time he was dunking his dinner rolls into ketchup. Like really dunking them, the whole roll was covered in ketchup. I like ketchup as much as the next guy, but that was little too excessive and gross.

I'll go one seriously strange further. I've never tried a Cadbury creme egg. The appearance prevents it just as much.

Those things are off the chain.

I'll eat anything once. I ate some canned squid in ink sauce earlier. Good clean protein and didn't taste bad. Raw oysters, sashimi, escargot, etc. I'm not a picky eater. My gf can be though. She'll insist that she doesn't like food that she's never tried and it drives me crazy. I usually just harass her until she tries it. She swore she hate brussel sprouts and I finally get her to try it and now it's one of her favorite vegetables.

Although I’ve had peanut butter, I’m not sure that I’ve ever had a peanut butter sandwich and certainly not one with jelly.

If you travel much, but refuse to try strange local things, you're missing out. There's plenty you won't like, some violently so, but what the hell - it's part of the experience. shite, I'll try just about anything and have. Insects are not high on my list, but the worst thing I've every put in my mouth is jellified eel (from a London street vendor - texture and flavor were disgusting). Tried Iguana (not a fan), but don't think I could do the Guinea Pig on a stick thing (until I'm a few beers in, anyway). Oriental wet markets are scary, but some of that shite is really good. YOLO

When you were five and mom took you to McDonald's, you balked if it had ketchup on the burger? Never had it on your steak? That takes quite the effort.
