Here is what it looks like....

* LA: 32% black
* LSU: ~10% black

There are obviously a multitude of reasons that this is true, from students choosing to attend southern. Or not meeting admittance standards, or not wanting to go to college.

But that pretty much hits you right in the face if you ask me.

I wouldn't even call it marketing 101, more like basic communication 101. Cut to the chase already, what's your message and what do you want. If you're trying to inform people it's not incumbent upon them to dig through veiled messages. Keep it simple, or you've lost the audience, and let's face it. We're the oppressors or ignoramus' in their view, so the message is for us

Not the result of "systematic" pathologies but rather the result of cultural and individual decision making

How much you want to bet that whites are under-represented at Southern?

Now cross reference those statistics with median GPA and graduation rates among black people.

You don't like the results, well let's look at how we achieved such results

Demanding that protesters come up with solutions is marginalizing the problem. We don't need to come up with solutions for our oppressors, they do because they caused it.

FWIW I started a twitter account.

No, its definitely institutional racism.

And this somehow means institutional racism doesn't exist? Southern is an inferior school. the jist of it is let's send the blacks kids to the shitty school.

Feel free to do so, I won't. But why do blacks underachieve in GPA? ACT scores?

I'm not demanding they come up with a solution, but when I tell you it is mindless it's because they don't have a goal, or at least one they've communicated

Do they want change? What do they want to change? Is there a solution they'd like to propose?

Do they want action? What action? Why?

Maybe they should major in marketing and then maybe they can spare the 5 minutes to have a quick meeting to discuss hear very simple things. Not that it would matter. They don't have a message, they don't want anything. I know what Payton head wants though

If they underachieve in act/sat and gpa, I can tell you whose 100% not at fault

LSU. It's not really a difficult school to get into

And that's if I take your numbers at face value, which I do not.

Institutional racism in university is the process of disallowing a race or making it more burdensome for one race or set of people to gain admission or a diplomat than it is for another set of people.

This does not happen anymore in this country as far as I can tell unless you're talking about historical black colleges, like Xavier in New Orleans, making it much harder for white people to get in.

In fact, it is usually easier to get scholarships and admission based solely on the fact that you're a minority. Often, minorities are given preferential treatment, however, this is not considered institutional racism because most of our laws are not written to create equality among everyone, but rather to protect a "minority" whether it be race, age, religion, sex, whatever.

That's why, for the PSAT for instance, you have to have a much lower score to earn the title national merit semifinalist if you're black that if you're white, which is absurd, because that it literally the government mandating that back people aren't as intelligent.

Are you really this stupid? Its because their culture does not value education as much as most suburban white cultures do. Nor do they place the same emphasis on it.

The institutional racism on college campuses is the fact that lower standards exist for admissions and scholarships for students who aren't white or Asian.
