There's a gas station close to my house, and right after I moved to Birmingham, their sign read Diesel, Ice, Party Balls. Stayed that way for at least a decade until it came under new ownership. It's on one of those roads where the Mexicans hang out looking for a day's work.

Went through a lot of them during football seasons long ago. We usually got the Coors ball.

When they were a thing we would get them from time to time. I remember a big black guy that worked with me and we were talking about them. I asked another guy how much was in them and the black guy said “I had two of em Sunday.”

They were perfect for 3-4 baws. As one poster stated I fondly remember sawing it in half and pouring beer with a ladle like it was punch.

I only saw them once in college when I visited friends in MN. They were at a house party and I remember thinking, "What the hell are these and where TF are the kegs"

We had one just about every weekend in the backseat in the early 90’s.

We bought a few of these and buried them in the sand at the beach vs a cooler. Circa 2008

I still have my old tap that I used on countless Coors Light party balls I purchased and destroyed back in the late 80’s. Towards the end of their run, I made a light fixture out of one that any electrician would be proud of.

The tap handles were a pain in the arse to find in stock. They didn’t come with one and it had to be purchased separately. Having one in high school was gold.
