2008-2018

I think the Trayvon Martin/Michael Brown shootings are the entire reason we have the illogical black/SJW activist craze going on right now. In a way, that’s probably part of the reason we have MAGA in office now

The economic crash of 2008. That set in motion the events that led to an overall Republican fatigue in America, which led to the election of President Obama. That led to a sharp decline in race relations, which led to more racism, which led to President Obama taking sides during police shootings, which led to riots across thee country, which led to Americans getting fed up with Democrats, which led to the election of Donald Trump.

Without the economic downturn of 2008, Donald Trump would not have been elected President of the United States of America.

History is an enormous line of dominoes.

To be fair, if a dumb redneck like yourself pointed a gun at me, I would probably put my hands up and say "don't shoot". I've never understood the stance of trying to sound cool by mocking people who protest for their rights.

That would be Iraq

Not only did W pull off the biggest foreign policy blunder since Vietnam, he bolstered it by not even trying to defend the war after 2004 and basically led the Republicans to the 2006 & 08 beatdowns.

Neither Michael Brown or Trayvon had their rights violated. Try again.

This. For all of the benefits it provides, it also causes just as many problems.

I don't disagree, but the question was only asking about the last decade. I just went back to 2008 - the Iraq blunder blew up in our faces in 2005.

I think blaming social media for all the bad things is low hanging fruit. Social media is just a symptom of human nature.

But that doesn't change that he has had a profound affect on our society. It has revealed a side of human nature that many were ignorant to before.
