we're getting our four month old one of those little exersaucer things. she seems to love the one she plays in at daycare and it's pretty age appropriate and can grow with her.

Wooden alphabet blocks, board book with a ‘mirror’ in it, and something good for teething.

Also something that makes musical notes as they interact with it, like a baby keyboard maybe.

All things my little one loved when nearing 1 year old.

Just rap up junk you will have to buy the kid in the next few months anyway. That way momma gets the pictures she wants with the wrapped boxes. Alternative is bonds or $$ for a college fund.

Lot of good ideas.

Marble's would be a bad one. Chocking hazard. If you get them something toy wise just remember they will try and eat it.

If you go the clothes route you can get to big they will grow into it. To small or fits good now and it will be a waste.
