Just looking for tips on what Santa should bring a 4 month old if anything, since they probably won’t remember anyway?

1st kid. Still new to the parenting thing

A 4 month old doesn't even know where his nose is.

Is it your kid? Nothing in that case. Niece or nephew, a book signed with the date is always good.

Bag with tissue paper in it so they can tear it up and throw it and feel the textures

The cheapest Christmas you’ll probably ever have .

Real answer, whatever your wife wants in the pictures. All birthdays and holidays are about mom until age 3.

Watching my little dude waddle in to see what Santa brought at ages 1 and 2 is irreplaceable in my memory

It should be a gift that will be sentimental to you & your wife/baby momma years down the road. Kid is not going to know or remember what he/she is getting. Get something the 3 of you can look back on as he/she gets older and celebrate baby's first Christmas gift.

We didn't bother with Santa until my oldest kid was two. Even then it was setting up a couple of gifts for them to rip open for pictures. From 1 to 3 they prefer the boxes the toys come in.

Their permanent memory doesn't really start until they are around 5. At this point, enjoy the easy Christmas b/c once it really starts, it becomes like a job.
