to date someone? I heard a story of someone faking cancer. Then when going into the Military claimed he didn’t.

Pretty beta.

You should try a different plan, like chloroform.

how does faking cancer help start a relationship? Wouldn’t it be the opposite? Why fake cancer to trick a girl into dating you then enlist?

Pretty shitty thing to do. Don't know how you'd ever live that down if caught.

Well, if you live long enough, odds are, it won't be a lie eventually.

Factitious disorder (Munchausen syndrome) is one of the strangest psychiatric disorders I’ve encountered. As a physician, you so want to trust your patients.

Sad to say that I’ve encountered three patients in my career that falsely claimed to have cancer. I’m convinced that two of them had psychosis so severe that they truly believed they did. The third did it in an attempt for financial gain, falsifying medical records as supporting evidence.

I’ve had plenty of girls fake cancer to get out of a relationship. Never to get into one though.
