What do you like to do to pass the time while driving somewhere on a long road trip?

I like to listen to music, sing along to a song on the radio, check out the attractions on the side of the road, talk on the phone, talk to any of my buddies that might be in the car. Of course, I try to be reasonable and not annoy anyone that might be sleeping.

I take what I call "travel naps". You don't really go to sleep, you just lay your head back, close your eyes, and drift away for 10-20 seconds.

Took a long road trip with the wife a few days ago. I listened to talk radio and music on iHeart and Pandora. She read a book and asked me how much longer about 17 times.

If on my motorcycle, I ride with a half helmet and use earplugs to drown out the wind noise, but can still hear things around me. I take in the smells along the road. Sometimes it's honeysuckle and sometimes it's roadkill. You take the good with the bad.
Every once in a while I'll put the earbuds in and listen to some music, but not too often. I kind of like the solitude.
If in the truck, I'll take a few dozen CD's to listen to since finding radio stations I like to listen to on the road is a hit or miss thing.

I commute a good way each day and listen to The "killing" books by Bill O'Reilly lately.
