Usually we take her out to eat and get her a card. No gifts or anything.

This year we're having a small family gathering and I'm going to do some grilling for the meal.

Visit her grave and put flowers on it.

According to pecker, you are just completing a chore if you do something nice for your mom on mothers day.

Nothing. My Mom is the most disliked person in my life.

Used to just do something special for my Grand Mother, but that is no longer possible.

Send a card and call...she's about 5 hours away, so it's not easy to pay a visit.

Usually we all go as a family (my mom and her 3 sisters) to dinner somewhere. Last year we grilled steaks for all of them. I believe we're doing the dinner thing again this year

I think fathers and Mother's Day are fricking ridiculous.

That said, we usually have a nice home cooked meal of her choice and clean the house from ceiling to baseboard.

This will be my first one without her here anymore, so I'll be winging it.

I already mailed her card with a gift card enclosed. Will call her on Sunday.

Waiting to see what we are doing for my MIL this weekend. Some years she wants to plan everything out and wants things just like she wants it and gets upset when my husband tries to plan something that goes against her plans(yet she won't say what her plans are until the day before Mother's Day). Other years she is expecting my husband and his sister to plan everything out way in advance and feels hurt if they don't. So we shall see which way the wind is blowing this year
