This definition (plus others) is probably due for a rethinking with all the student debt floating around, which essentially knocks people down a peg from the income stream they are paying taxes on.

depends on where they live but probably 200-400K imo

lower upper class >400-800K
middle upper class 800K-1.5M

That's higher than like 90 something percent of the entire country's household income. Don't know how that would be "the middle" at all.

Considering US median household income is ~50k, I would say somewhere around 100k and upper class would be anywhere above 250k.

Upper middle class to me is 150k. 20k plus in liquid cash.

That is relative to where you live. 250k in Miami is pretty normal
