maybe if you are just starting off $60k is a good salary but if you are in the midst of your career I feel bad if you think that's a good salary in 2017

Depends on where you live.

If I had what I'm making now in BR, I'd be feeling pretty good. But here it's probably just above average.

Depends where you live. $100,000 in BR is substantial. $100,000 in New York and you're making ends meet.

I love being on salary. Got off today at lunch, getting paid until 5.

I get your point about overtime, but most OT'ers don't need that extra cash from overtime.
