Fig restaurant it's the best there. Shops are cool and architecture is spectacular. Horse carriage tour wasn't bad and pretty informative. Overall its a cleaner Savannah, and much much cleaner New Orleans.

Spend $400 on a dinner for 2.

Just head to the downtown/French Quarter area and you'll find restaurants/bars.

Bessinger's BBQ is freaking amazing

I live about 2 hours from Charleston. However, only go with my kids. The Yorktown/Laffey is a must see. Plenty of nightlife...and plenty of the good stuff to look at.

However, as in all cities, the tourist area is the best and safest.

A lot of the other responses have captured most of it:

If you want to party like you are still in college: Shem Creek

High Cotton for steak (prefer it over Halls, just personal preference)

Minor league baseball: Charleston Riverdogs

Boating, Fishing, Beaches

Cool place to hang out: Sullivans Island (eat at Obstinate Daughter) or Folly Island

Boone Hall Plantation has some cool Oak trees.

i've often referred to Savannah as an average between Charleston and New Orleans, funny you mentioned all three in your post.

Go out to Bowen's Island and get a big clump of steamed oysters. Really cool place.

Not hot, besides today.

Hurricane is bringing some rain and the high Fri-Sun is 83 or something like that.

We had our fantasy draft at Bay St. Biergarten last night but I was remiss in checking in any of my beers because we were drafting and trying to do the bar trivia at the same time

Headed to Container Bar tonight to have a few beers and discuss the upcoming Packer season with bar management

The best in town are going to be Lewis and Palmira and then "everyone else".

Weather today is awesome. I've been working on my balcony all day checking out the coeds by the pool.

OP should jump on the Palmetto Breeze for the sunset cruise and hang out on Shem for a bit before or after (don't sleep on Muddy's), head out to one of the beaches this weekend, weather permitting. If you know what you're doing you can also rent a boat out of Shem for 2-8 hours and go party on No Name Beach in the shadow of Ft Sumter.

Get a good meal downtown, keep in mind some of the best restaurants in town are outside the King St/French Quarter neighborhoods.

ETA: Much of what makes this area so awesome it outside the downtown peninsula. Venture out a bit after doing the tourist stuff downtown.
