One invented DC current and the other invented AC current. Edison's design (DC current) was flawed bc it causes transmission lines to expend energy in the form of heat the further distance traveled and is inherently unsafe. AC current travels back and forth in very short distances so does not expend as much heat and is inherently much safer. Bc AC is so much safer than DC, cities adopted Tesla's AC current rather than Edison's DC current.
That being said, not sure what either stole from one another.
