And to echo several other replies in here, dating or marrying anyone with SAHM aspirations is a terrible decision. If she isn't smart, ambitious, and kind - why are you dating her?

This is my exact problem in Houma. That's all they want to do. Ambitious women are few and far between here

I've learned that women want two things:

1. Everything

2. More of #1.

I see you and my wife have met...

seriously...kingbob and the UF poster are correct in a great deal of what they say...my wife is learning cause I swallowed the pill awhile back...that shite she did before and the way things have been are not going to fly anymore....whilst in a relationship...changes have to be slow and steady...and they wont even realize that the script has been flipped....I got married early and had no idea what the frick I was doing...but I do now...this whole topic is discussed at length in the "manosphere"...look it up...but be careful...some of those same sites are grouped in with the whole Alt Right movement...even though they aren't really....it's simply because they speak out about 3rd and 4th wave feminism and the downfalls of society as a result....and there in lies the largest problem...feminism and our current societal outlook is what is making relationships with women harder to navigate than ever.

Minute by minute, or long term? Hard to pinpoint; plus every woman not only changes her mind in mid-stream, sometimes even in mid-sentence - but also, depending on conditions, retroactively.

You are a GD idiot. Nothing you mentioned applies to me. My kids are to old to require child support. Our income is interest only from investments. We have no debts. So suck it.

What a woman says she wants and what she actually responds to are hardly ever the same thing.

Cynicism is learned through hardship

It may be learned behavior, but it's lazy reactive behavior.
I don't believe that anyone who ever hurts me has the right to change me. why in God's name would I ever want to give someone that power over me? So I don't chose to judge others by the actions of others, and in turn I don't expect to pay for the wrong that other women have done to men, it's not fair or accurate or remotely okay.

quote:

Be caring. Be honest. Don't test. Don't manipulate. Mean what you say.

I am a person who says exactly what I mean and takes people at their face value. I dont play games or look for secondary meanings. But men seem conditioned to expect that all women do and therefore automatically seem to assume that there's some ulterior motive to what women say.
quote:

Do those things and even the most cynic man will believe again.

I work hard, support myself financially, deal with my own emotions as rationally as possible, and honestly just don't have the energy to change someone who's cynical outlook isn't my fault to begin with.

quote:

Inside every cynic is a hopeless romantic just looking for a reason to believe.

ultimately if you want to know what women want, here is is. I want a man who's responsible enough to take responsibility for his own shite and change himself for the better without needing to be prompted to be a better person to keep someone who loves him. and not a redhead. everything else is negotiable.

In today's age this should never be a problem. If it is send your man over to the OT there is a long standing post that can help him (and you) out.
